Richard J. Wayman, CFA

Prior to co-founding researchstock.com, Rick was an officer and equity analyst at Fifth Third Bank (buy-side) and The Ohio Company (sell-side) for over seven years. During that time, he followed companies in the consumer goods, business services, transport, media, community banks, and retailing sectors. He was also involved in several initial public offerings, secondary offerings and the development of a successful telecommunication and technology unit investment trust. He has over 20 years of investment experience.

Before joining The Ohio Company, he worked at Borden, Inc. for seven years, gaining domestic and international finance experience. He also worked at Huntington National Bank from 1981 to 1985 where he was a marketing consultant and credit analyst.

He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a designation awarded by the Association for Investment Management and Research. He is an active member in AIMR and is on the Board of Directors of the Columbus Society of Financial Analysts and AIMR's Standards and Policy Committee. He is an active public speaker, having addressed classes at The Ohio State University and Ohio Wesleyan University and organizations such as the Cleveland Society of Security Analysts, the Columbus Society of Financial Analysts, and the Columbus Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI). He also is a contributor to investopedia.com and MultexInvestor.com (as an author and periodic host of Market Buzz).

He has had research featured in Barron's and articles published in forbes.com, Investopedia.com and multexinvestor.com. He also co-authored a paper on forfaiting that was published in the December 1983 edition of the Journal of Commercial Bank Lending.

Mr. Wayman received his MBA (in Finance and International Business) from Kent State University and BA (Political Science/International Relations) from Wittenberg University.
